Overview Advanced BOM Model (64F)
The Advanced BoM model offers you flexibility in BoM creation, especially in the early phase of a product.
BoM engineers can use BoM Groupings to represent the modular structure of the product in a multilevel BOM, group component variants in variant BOMs, and group a BoM without creating additional materials.
Using preliminary BoM items, the BoM engineer can describe the custom engineered components in engineer-to-order and customer-to-order scenarios (such as in the tendering phase) without creating materials, and can create placeholders for later enhancement of business objects, such as documents or materials.
