After completing this lesson, you will be able to:

  • Publish a Footprint

Publishing a Footprint Result to SAP S/4HANA Cloud or SAP S/4HANA

SAP Product Footprint Management allows you to publish footprint information as master data to supported business systems.

  1. In the table view, select a footprint result of type Calculation Run and status Calculation Successful or Calculated Completed with Issues.
    Note
You can only select and publish a single footprint result at a time. Also, you cannot publish the result of a test run to SAP S/4HANA Cloud or to SAP S/4HANA.
  2. Select Publish to post the average footprint per unit of the aggregated result, along with the footprint per unit for each supplier, if any, displayed in the Product Inflows section. These results are posted to the View Product Footprint application on SAP S/4HANA Cloud or your SAP S/4HANA.
    Note
If the supplier data is anonymized due to a blocking action, then the footprints for these suppliers are not published to SAP S/4HANA Cloud or SAP S/4HANA.
    Hint
For example, the footprint result for plant DE01 and product butter for the month of March is calculated successfully. The average footprint per unit for this result is 4.50 kg CO2e/kg. When you drill down to the details, the Product Inflows displays the footprints of two suppliers:
    • Swiss 101 with the footprint per unit 1.10 kg CO2e/kg
    • OrgJM_1 with footprint per unit 1.90 kg CO2e/ kg

On publishing this footprint result, the average footprint per unit 4.50 kg CO2e/kg and the footprint per unit for both the suppliers, that is, 1.10 kg CO2e/kg and 1.90 kg CO2e /kg, are posted and displayed on the View Product Footprint application on SAP S/4HANA Cloud or SAP S/4HANA.
