How many types of parameters are there?
Parameters used in Test realms for sandbox testing of features and functionality are called Test realm parameters.
Parameters used in Production realms for real world transactions are called Production realm parameters.
Test realm parameter values can be copied over to the Production realm.
Who can modify parameters?
Application specific parameters can be modified by SAP Ariba Engineering only.
Some parameters can be modified by SAP Ariba Customer Support following a request by the Customer's Designated Support Contact, or by the functional consultant on the project.
A particular set of parameters can be modified by customers in the Intelligent Configuration Manager (ICM) section of their Administration page.
