Preparing Custom Fields within Intelllgent Configuration Manager

Let's see how to access the custom field configurations in Intelligent Configuration Manager (ICM).

Using the Intelligent Configuration Manager, customers and partners can access the current custom field configurations. You can download a .json file with your current custom field configurations, to view current custom fields, and to plan custom field requests:

1. Access Intelligent Configuration Manager and select Manage Configurations and Continue
   
2. Select the Sourcing and Contracts tab ﹥Field Configurations
   
3. Within Download field configurations, select the SourcingProject or SourcingRequest classes for Sourcing-related fields, and ContractWorkspace or ContractRequest classes for Contracts-related fields.
   
4. Within Download field configurations, select the SourcingProject or SourcingRequest classes for Sourcing-related fields, and ContractWorkspace or ContractRequest classes for Contracts-related fields.
5. Open the Zip File, and associated JSON files within a source code editing program like Notepad++. Review field (template) properties:

   Select each (+) plus icon for more information about field attributes within the JSON file.
6. Contact your SAP Ariba Customer Engagement Executive, Account Manager, or SAP Ariba Support for specific field configuration changes and new custom fields. Make sure to include field names and labels in the request. Please note that you can request field customization only for classes related to features that are enabled.
