During this configuration activity, you need to assign a port that you created previously (see the Creating Port Definition lesson in this course.) This configuration is used by the Setup Interface program and is required for assigning the appropriate Receiver Port value to the outbound parameter in Partner profile (WE20) for the outbound IDoc used in the specific integration flow.
You need to configure separate receiver ports for each of the following IDoc types:
- IDOC for Ariba Network
The port value you need to define for IDOC for Ariba Network is the port that you created for the transaction data of SAP Business Network integration and SAP Ariba Sourcing integration.
- IDOC for SAP Ariba Applications
The port value you need to define for IDOC for SAP Ariba Applications is the port that you created for the Retail Article Master Data Integration with SAP Ariba Sourcing.
- IDOC Sent through Middleware
The port value you need to define for IDOC Sent through Middleware is the port you created for the integration via supported middleware, such as SAP Process Integration (PI), SAP Process Orchestration (PO), or SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) Private Tenant. This is only necessary when you choose to deploy with the mediated connectivity option.

Now that you've learned about configuring the receiver port, we'll move on to synchronizing SAP information with the gateway.
