In this lesson, you'll learn the process for resetting the P-User password in the SAP Integration Suite is, managed gateway for spend management and SAP Business Network. The P-User and its password is a very confidential and sensitive piece of information. Ideally, you shouldn’t change the password of your P-User frequently as it can impact your transaction flows if the changed password is not updated in all the required configurations.
Changing the P-User password is a very simple and straightforward process. However, in the event of the need of changing the password of your P-User, you must ensure that the changed password is updated in all such configurations which use the P-User and password information. A few examples of such configurations are:
- RFC Destination: Update the changed password of your P-User in the "Logon and Security" tab of the RFC Destination configuration in your back end SAP system.
- Interface Setup for Web Services: Under the General Settings node of the Managed Gateway AddOn in your back end SAP system, you must execute Interface Setup program by selecting all the required transaction documents. By doing this you can automatically update the authentication information of the Logical Ports of all those transaction documents in SOA Manager.
- SAP Cloud Connector: Re-configure all sub-accounts using the new P-User password. You also need to re-configure the "Mapping Virtual to Internal System" and "Resources" for all the back end SAP systems. You need to perform this activity for the SAP Cloud Connector installations for Test and Production environments.
