Building the OEE

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to build your own OEE in SAP DM.

Building OEE

How to set up the OEE Master Data is explained in the previous lesson. Here is an example about how you can set up your own OEE including the creation of Time Elements, Reason Codes, and Standard Rates. Before you start, make sure that you have marked the relevant Resources as OEE-relevant and that you have maintained a shift for them.

The image below shows the OEE Master Data graphics with data from our TR180 Bicycle example data (see Unit 2: Collecting Manufacturing Data). The visualized master data elements are created and referenced to each other using the mentioned apps in SAP DM. In the next lesson about analyzing the OEE, you can see how you can analyze the drilled down OEE once you have built it and executed the production process.

Flowchart showing resource statuses, time element types, time elements, reason codes, resources, and standard rates, detailing relationships and processes for managing OEE and processing times.

Exercise: Building the OEE in SAP DM

You will use the app in SAP DM which were introduced in previous lessons to create the OEE master data as it is visualized in the preceding image.
