Line Monitor POD
The Line Monitor POD is a powerful tool that enables you to monitor, track, and measure production orders within your plant. By using real-time data from Manufacturing Data Objects (MDOs) provided by SAP Digital Manufacturing, this tool offers valuable insights into various aspects of production and is accessible in the Manufacturing Execution section of the SAP Digital Manufacturing launchpad.
Key Features of the Line Monitor POD
A default Line Monitor POD is available as a template for creating personalized PODs, although direct modifications to the default POD are not recommended. In addition, the POD provides insights from multiple production perspectives, including:
- Production
- Quality
- Asset
- Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
It’s important to note that the Production, Quality, and OEE perspectives are applicable to both process orders and production orders, while the Asset perspective is limited to process orders.

Structure of Production Perspective
Each production perspective consists of two types of pages:
1. Overview Page (Main Page)
- This page provides a high-level view of work centers in an easy-to-navigate format.
- Work centers are displayed as tiles (grid view) or as part of a floor plan.
- Users can seamlessly switch between the grid view and the floor plan view to suit their navigation preferences.
2. Detail Page
- This page offers an in-depth view of production data for specific lines or work centers within a selected plant.
- Key functionalities include:
- Filtering: Users can filter data by work centers assigned to the plant.
- Multiple Selections: It’s possible to select multiple work centers simultaneously.
- Time Range: Only a one-time range can be applied at a time to focus on a specific period of production data.
