Managing Guided Buying Parameters

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to configure guided buying parameters via the Admin menu​

Manage Parameters via the Admin Menu

Guided buying parameters determine how specific processes and functions work in guided buying.​

Users must belong to the Customer Administrator or Customer Catalog Manager group in SAP Ariba Procurement solutions to manage parameters in guided buying.

​Procedure

  1. On the guided buying home page, choose Admin.
  2. ​In the Parameters section, select Manage parameters.
  3. In the Parameter settings table, choose Change value next to the parameter you want to update, then enter the new value and choose Change value again.

Note

Guided buying caches parameter values for up to two hours. If you change a parameter value, you must wait up to two hours to see the results of the change.​

After you change a parameter value from its default setting, you'll see the Revert to default option next to the parameter. If you need to switch a parameter back to its default setting, select Revert to default for the parameter.

Note

Do not modify a parameter value unless you know its impact on site functionality. Always test system behavior in the test realm before making changes to the production realm. ​
