Control Parameters for App Perform Maintenance Jobs
You can control the following functions that can be performed by a maintenance technician:
- Self-assignment of job for maintenance execution
- Confirm efforts spent on jobs that are not assigned to the same maintenance technician
You can configure the control parameters for a planning plant with an order type to perform the following:
Restrict Assignment of Jobs: Restrict a maintenance technician to self-assign maintenance jobs that are yet to be assigned. The default behavior allows maintenance technicians to self-assign maintenance jobs.
Example: Organization A can select the dropdown option "Restrict Assignment of Jobs" for specific maintenance order type and planning plant to control a maintenance technician from self-assigning.
Confirm Jobs without Assignment: Allows a maintenance technician to confirm efforts spent on jobs assigned to other maintenance technicians. The default behavior allows a maintenance technician to confirm only jobs assigned to the maintenance technician.
Example: Organization B wants maintenance technician T1 to be able to confirm jobs which are assigned to the maintenance technician T2 for specific maintenance order type and planning plant.
Automatically clear reservation with final confirmation: Automatically clear open reservations of goods along with a final confirmation. The checkbox for clearing open reservations is automatically checked if the user selects the Final Confirmation checkbox during time recording. Open reservations are also cleared if the Quick Confirmation action is performed since this action triggers the final confirmation.
Parameters for Overall Completion Confirmation (SAP GUI)
A flexible screen layout is available for the overall completion confirmation. Profiles are defined that contain the active screen areas and available pushbuttons. The profile for the screen templates for the overall completion confirmation is created in Customizing. The assignment is made to the user, not the order type. Each user can configure the required profile when executing the completion confirmation.
Technical Completion determines the end of order processing from a maintenance perspective. The system status TECO is assigned to the order header. By setting the technical completion, the order is locked from a maintenance perspective, but it is still open from a business perspective (e.g. booking of invoices or belated time confirmations). In Customizing you can define a proposed Reference Time for Technical Completion.
