Using SAP GUI-Based Functions for Task Lists

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to use SAP GUI-based functions for task lists

Where-Used Lists and Object Overview

To plan capacities efficiently, it's often necessary to work out the usage of work centers or production resources and tools (PRTs) in different task lists.

You can change existing assignments of work centers and PRTs to task lists.

Where-Used Lists

Object Overview

Image shows an example of an object overview.

You can display different objects, which can be assigned to a task list, within a total overview.

Objects Represented in the Overview

  • Materials
  • Service packages
  • Object dependencies
  • Maintenance packages
  • Inspection characteristics

Select objects in Customizing for the multi-level list display of task lists.

Action Log for Task Lists

Changes to task lists for pieces of equipment and functional locations, and general maintenance tasklists, are recorded in the action log. This enables you to track who has made which status or data change to which fields and when the change happened. Changes to task lists with change numbers are also recorded in the action log.

Action Log

  • General Maintenance Task Lists

  • Task Lists for Equipment

  • Task Lists for Functional Locations

Hierarchical Task Lists

Maintaining complex technical objects includes numerous measures and operations that are hierarchically structured. In the standard SAP System, task lists represent one level only, that is, a task list contains only operations.

By contrast, hierarchical task lists can refer to other task lists and thereby create a task list hierarchy. The structure of the work to be carried out is mapped by the task list hierarchy.

As maintenance tasks involve operations, which are carried out in the same or a similar sequence, standard structures can be defined as templates by using maintenance plans and task lists. Standard projects and standard networks can be used to create operative projects, and maintenance orders can be derived from maintenance plans and task lists.

The PM/PS reference element can be used to assign a network activity automatically to an order, which is linked to a task list. Therefore, the task list and network activity must be assigned to the same PM/PS reference element.

Task List and Order

Business Example

It's necessary to use task lists for breakdown and corrective maintenance in a company.

Selection Procedures for General Task Lists

Selection Procedures for Task Lists

Direct Entry

Within an order, task lists can be selected in different ways. If the task list group and task list group counter are known, the task list can be selected by direct entry.

Reference Object

If a piece of equipment with construction type is specified as the reference object, all equipment task lists for the equipment are supplied (as are all general task lists) for which the assembly in the task list header corresponds to the construction type for the equipment.

Object Structure

All of the task lists, which have been created for the objects that are subordinary objects of the reference object, are selected here.

Assembly

All of the task lists, which have been created for the object that was entered in the Assembly field in the order header, are selected here.

General List

You can use a list to display a selection of general maintenance task lists. The selection criteria of task list type (A), plant, and status (released for order) are preset. You can add further criteria.

Overview of Included Task Lists

If operations from several different task lists are used in an order, a list of all the task lists used can be displayed.

Task List Costing
