You can use the function called Product Proposal in the list of items of a service order to identify the service parts, expenses, and services relevant for the service order, without entering the service part IDs. You can use the function Product Proposal when working with Material BOMs or Equipment BOMs. To use the function Product Proposal in a service order, you need to fulfill the following prerequisites in master data maintenance: Create a material BOM with u sage S and assign the relevant components, that is: service parts and optionally service products. You can use BOM item category L for service parts or pick from stock items and item category N for other items. Also: create an Equipment BOM with usage S and assign a material ID as Construction Type via the equipment master record. Alternatively, you can assign a material ID as a reference product via the Serialization Data of a serialized piece of equipment.
