Hi Jim, do you have a few minutes? I got a request from a business user, and I am not sure what to answer. Hi Liv, what is the question? A customer wants to order two products, but one product is to be paid immediately, and the other product receives a 14 days 3% cash discount. Can the business users enter both products in one order? Or must they enter two different orders for them? Good question. Both options are possible. In SAP S/4HANA, you define business data, such as payment conditions or incoterms at document header level. They are automatically copied to each item. However, during customizing you can also give the option to maintain the data at item level. In SAP Customizing for the item category, we decided that business data at item level can differ from business data at header level. Does this mean that the business users can decide to enter both products in the same order even if the business data are different? Correct. It is possible to define business data separately for each item. So, business users can create documents with the business data at the document header level in case the business data are the same for all items. Or they can create documents where they maintain specific business data for each item. Great. So, in the same document, we can enter the business data on header level and change them on item level if we need to do so? Correct. Jim, thank you very much.
