Activating Story Reports in Report Center

The Story Report in Report Center is part of the SAP SuccessFactors People Analytics solution. This report is based on the integration of SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite with SAP Analytics Cloud. It is a presentation-style report that uses charts, visualizations, text, images, and pictograms to describe data. For example, you can create a report that highlights the following:

• The names of all new hires
• The status of the new hire in the onboarding process
• The hiring manager and recruiters involved

A Story Report mainly involves building a query and using the query to create the report.

After you create a story, you can add and edit pages, sections, and elements, as well as share your story with others for them to use.

Story Reports is currently the only standard reporting tool in the SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite that can be used for Onboarding.

To create Story Reports with Onboarding data, you need to add the Onboarding schema permission to a user. This can be found in the Reports Permission category for Create Story.

To allow an admin user to manage all Story Reports in the Report Center, use the Story Admin permission. This also adds the All Reports tab in Report Center. The Story Admin permission can be found under the category Manage Dashboards / Reports.
