There are several situations in which you might need to cancel an onboarding process. In this video, you’ll learn about the different ways to cancel a process in SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding.
The steps below provide an outline of the tasks demonstrated in the Canceling the Onboarding Process video.
Steps
To manually cancel the onboarding process, first go to the new hire’s profile in the Onboarding Dashboard.
From the Actions Menu, choose Cancel Onboarding.
Select the checkbox acknowledging that All Onboarding tasks will be canceled from the system .
Choose the No-Show event reason.
If relevant, add comments.
Choose Confirm.
The next steps below are for automatically canceling an onboarding process. This requires you to modify a predefined business rule by changing the number of days:
Navigate to the Business Rule Admin screen.
Choose the ONB2_ProcessClosurePeriodConfig business rule.
Choose Take Action and select Make Correction.
For the Then expression, change the number from 90 to the desired number of days.
To update the business rule, choose Save.
To enable a user to cancel an onboarding process from the Onboarding Dashboard, assign the Cancel Onboarding Permission and Process object permissions in Role-Based Permissions.
Result
An onboarding process has been canceled.
