When a manual restart is triggered for an onboarding process, you can configure the data already captured in the onboarding process to either be retained or updated from SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting. This provides flexibility for how new hire information is updated in the process.
To enable the feature to retain data already captured in the onboarding process after a manual restart, in Onboarding General Settings → Restart Settings, enable the Retain Onboarding Information feature.

Note
- This restart feature is supported only for new hires and rehires.
- The onboarding steps need to be completed again after manual and auto-restart. For example, if the Personal Data Collection step has already been completed, the new hire will need to review and complete it again after the restart.
