Talent Search is a configurable search tool that allows users to find employees based on defined fields and permissions, and helps them do the following:

  • Perform effective talent searches
  • Look up individuals quickly
  • Find people to staff projects
  • Nominate successors directly from Talent Search
  • Make global assignments
Select the Talent Search tab.

Talent Search Features and Benefits

Initially designed to allow Succession Planners to find successors effectively, Talent Search has grown beyond that and is being used by HR Managers and Employees. For example, it is often used as a tool for staffing projects, moving people to new jobs, internal recruiting, global assignments, and measuring bench strength.

The following key features are available with Talent Search:

  • Keyword Search
  • Basic Search on standard fields (for example, job titles or job codes)
  • Advanced Search on standard and custom portlets (for example, Projects, Languages and Talent Pools)
  • Rating Searches on trends and attributes (for example, Overall Performance and Potential ratings, Competency ratings)

Talent Search also offers several advantages:

  • Search using various criteria and faceted filters.
  • Apply Role-based Permissions on data and target populations.
  • Compare Employee Profile data.
  • Include inactive users.
  • Save searches to reuse later.
  • Compare Employee Profile data.
Open the Compare Users view in Talent Search.

To access Talent Search, navigate to Succession from the main menu and select Talent Search.
