Consolidation Unit DE00: Upload File with ABC-specific Control Data
The following figure shows the correction upload file with the ABC-specific control data for consolidation unit DE00.

First, you must reverse the investment of DE00 of EUR 7000 (EUR 5000 + EUR 2000) since the information of the investees and the ownership values were not available in the local close. Reversal of the data prevents duplicating FS item balances.
Then, repost the investment. Ensure to contain the missing information like the partner unit, the ownership information, and the investment activity type.
You must also reverse and repost the equity FS items, including the investment activity type.
Execute the upload in the Data Monitor using the Data Collection task for DE00.
Note
Only data with filled C/I control fields, especially the investment activity type, are recognized when executing the Activity-based C/I task in the Consolidation Monitor. After executing the Data Collection task, execute the Validate Universal Journal task in the Data Monitor to check if:
- Errors exist in universal journals in the form of missing or incorrect sub-assignments for FS items
- Out-of-balances exist. This could be caused by missing mappings between G/L accounts and FS items.
Consolidation Unit DE00: Data Set Development - ACDOCU Perspective

The above image shows how local financial data, including ABC-specific control data, is stored in the ACDOCU table.
Note
- For Equity Financial Statement (FS) items, the investee is automatically replicated from the consolidation unit.
- For Investment FS items, the investee can be assigned by the user or automatically replicated from the partner unit.
Note
If several data sets contain the same value for a period, fiscal year, investment activity type, and investee unit, these data sets automatically get the same activity number. So how does this affect each Consolidation Unit?

Calculation of Net Income – Example for Consolidation Unit DE00
Since the data upload file does not include Annual Net Income or Current-Year Retained Earnings, the user must run the Calculate Net Income task in the Data Monitor after importing the data.

The figure above shows the data set development for consolidation unit DE00 after the execution of the task.
Note
Activity 02 (Subsequent Consolidation) automatically assigns to Finance Statement (FS) item 317000 - Net Income after executing the Calculate Net Income task. The system then automatically creates a new activity number.Calculating Group Shares
Note
Execution of the Calculate Group Shares (PL30) task is optional. You can run this task in the Consolidation Monitor to calculate group shares on the respective group share FS item for reporting purposes, such as a combined report, which includes equity, investments, and group shares.

Direct Shares: Direct Shares are calculated from the direct investor's point of view of investments.
Group Shares: Group Shares are the percentages of investments from the parent company's point of view for a specific group.
For example, if consolidation unit A holds an 80% share in unit B, which in turn holds a 75% share in unit C, the group share in unit C is 60%.
Note
According to IFRS and US-GAAP, use theDirect Share Method for First Consolidation and the Group Share Method for Subsequent Consolidation.

If you execute the Calculate Group Shares (PL30) task, the direct and group shares are stored on special FS items as shown in the figure above.
Next to this, the shares are stored in posting level 30 in combination with document type 38. Doing so you can refer to these special items in reporting.
