What Is the SAP Build Lobby?

The SAP Build Lobby is the central start page for all projects of the SAP Build Suite. It provides you with an overview of your projects, allows you to create new projects, manage existing ones, and gives you access to various features and resources. From the SAP Build Lobby, you can consume components, which were created with SAP Build Code, SAP Build Apps, SAP Build Process Automation, and SAP Build Work Zone.

Key Features of the SAP Build Lobby

The SAP Build Lobby offers you the following key features:

  • Project overview: The lobby shows you a list of all your projects of the following types: SAP Build Code, SAP Build Apps, SAP Build Process Automation, and SAP Build Work Zone. You can filter and sort the list to quickly find specific projects. For each project a couple of actions are available including releasing a project, publishing to a library, exporting, renaming, deleting, saving as a new project, and managing members. To get a better overview, you can filter and sort the entries in the list.
  • Create new projects: By choosing Create, you can create new projects.
  • Clone existing projects: By choosing Clone, you can clone existing projects from a Git repository.
  • Import projects: By choosing Import, you can create new projects by importing them from your local system.

In addition to the SAP Build Lobby, you can also access the following from the SAP Build home page:

  • Resources: In the upper right corner of the screen, you find the icon to switch products access additional resources. This includes links to the SAP BTP Cockpit, the Dev Space Manager, the roadmap, and enabling material.
  • Connectors: Here you can create and manage Actions to communicate with external systems. Under Automation SDK you find a list of different automation SDKs.
  • Store: Here, you can find prebuilt content created and curated by SAP and authorized partners. This includes templates and as well as ready-to-use content.

    You can filter for SAP Build Code projects in the store by selecting Build Code in the Project Type filter:

  • Monitor: The monitor shows you information about your processes, such as which processes have been started and what their status is.
  • Control Tower: Here you find your tenant, back end and agent configuration and a list of your APIKeys.

Access the SAP Build Lobby

This Learning Journey also contains a Unit on Setting Up the Environment. When you have finished this, go to your SAP BTP Cockpit. Under ServicesInstances and Subscriptions you find a list of your Subscriptions. If you have the appropriate permissions, the SAP Build Code entry is displayed. By choosing the link, you can access the SAP Build Lobby.
