Run your synchronization project
Now that we learned how to create our synchronization project and define our project attributes, we can now run this synchronization project. Let's first take a look at the activities involved when running our synchronization project.

Steps to run your synchronization project

STEP 1: Activate Synchronization Project | STEP 2: Select Activated Project | STEP 3: Select Direction & Content | STEP 4: Run Synchronization |
---|---|---|---|
Synchronization Project needs to be activated before it can be executed and used in synchronization run. | In the ‘Run Synchronization Project’ one of the active Projects must be selected. | An initial synchronization from SAP Solution Manager to SAP Signavio can be performed, if process information exists in SAP Solution Manager | By default, only the latest revision will be synchronized, if no process governance revision state is selected during the sync project setup. If it is selected, e.g. "approved" processes only, than only these approved processes are synchronized. |
Activation of synchronization Project will create required Dictionaries in SAP Signavio. | The system will display connected systems of the project, to ensure the right settings were selected. | Following the initial synchronization, changes to objects and their associated attribute values are managed in SAP Signavio Process Manager. Therefore, process updates must always be synchronized from SAP Signavio to SAP Solution Manager. | Synchronization will be executed in stages and the user can view the progress of each stage. |
You can edit the same project for attributes and execute multiple times. | BPMN diagrams synchronized from SAP Solution Manager to SAP Signavio cannot be synchronized back. | Once synchronization is complete, the user can check the logs and synchronization history. | |
Selection of content will be automatically controlled by specified direction of synchronization and relevant system content will be available. | |||
For SAP Solution Manager to SAP Signavio direction selection of the scope is available to narrow down process content even further. |
