Utilizing Accruals Reporting

Carla is ready to explore the reporting tools available for accruals management.

Accruals Management provides you with reports that show all relevant accrual objects with accrual amounts. You can drill down to view all kinds of relevant master data, such as accrual items, account assignment, accounts, and accrual amounts. Let's review some of the reports:

With this app you can display an overview of accrual postings. You can filter the postings by various criteria and navigate to a specific posting in related apps to investigate further.

This app provides the following key features:

• Use visual filters to investigate your accrual postings
• Navigate directly to the posting in related apps
• Use the Details and View By functions for an in-depth view of your posting

For purchase order accruals and service entry sheet accruals, the following reporting apps give you a detailed view of accrual amounts for actual and simulated postings.

In this app, you can display an overview of accrual postings. After you specify a Valid to Date and optional filters, the system returns a report that shows all accrual objects with accrual item types and accrual amounts based on your search criteria. In the Accrual Amount column, you can view not only posted accruals, but also planned accruals calculated by the system but not posted yet. When a posting hasn't occurred, you see a simulated amount instead. You can view all accrual postings for purchase order and service entry sheet accruals.

You've run a Simulate Accrual Postings job in the Schedule Accruals Jobs app. To display updated data in a report, it is recommend you simulate accrual postings before you run a report using the Accrual Postings - With Simulation app or the Accrual Postings - Simulated / Posted app.

With this app, you can display a list of accrual object items filtered by company code, accrual item type, lifecycle status, and so on. You can see full details for each item listed, and check information such as the validity period, start and end of life, or the total accrual amount.

This app enables you to review periodic accruals of service entry sheets for cost objects for which you’re responsible. You can check the proposed accrual amounts and mark your review before the system posts the accruals for service entry sheets.
