Embedded Analysis in SAP S/4HANA

Maintenance Scheduling Board

The scheduling board lets you view various work orders within a specified time period and view their start and end dates via a timeline graph. Work orders can be selected via checkboxes and triggered for scheduling. Operations can be assigned to a specific technician for an allocated time frame or technicians can be unassigned altogether. The operations of a work order can also be dispatched to other technicians as well as their dispatches being canceled. You can also change operation details such as the work center, start date, and determine if the operation should be dispatched or not.

Display a timeline of maintenance orders within the specified time period and dispatch the order operations to the selected technicians.

Maintenance Planning Overview

The maintenance planning overview page provides data into various work orders within your system. This helps with monitoring urgent orders and being able to handle them appropriately. Various cards containing data regarding the work orders are displayed on this page based on the filter criteria selected. These include features such as a list of overdue work orders and by how many days they are overdue, the orders that are still outstanding (not released yet), notifications that are still outstanding, as well as other criteria. With the outstanding orders and notifications, you can graph them by criteria such as priority and type.

Manage Work Center Utilization

The work center utilization board lets you view different work orders and the associated operations to said work orders based on the specified parameters at the top of the page. The main purpose of the page is to manage how well certain work centers are used compared to others. The default view of the app manages the following four weeks worth of work orders, however, this time period can be changed if desired. From the work order tab, orders can be selected to be added to a maintenance schedule, be brought up in the maintenance planning board, and can view all operations underneath the order. You can also click on an order number to view some order details as well as navigate to the order page.

The options under the operations tab are similar to what is present with work orders. One feature is the ability to dispatch operations directly as well as cancel any currently dispatched operations. The Change section allows you to alter the selected operations’ work center and start date as well as dispatch the newly changed operations. A graph on the right also visualizes various operation data over a specified time period, including work centers, priority, and more.
