Using Enterprise Asset Management Analytics

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to focus on three select analytics-focused Intelligent Asset Management Fiori applications and some of the ways to best utilize them.

Technical Object Breakdown

The Technical Object Breakdown app provides a graphical view detailing how many breakdown notifications there are given the specified criteria. The default criteria show this by year, but other dimensions (properties) can also be chosen as well to evaluate the breakdown. You can also further look into each of the breakdown notifications to better evaluate what may be the cause of the breakdown and how to best repair it. The breakdowns that show here can also be filtered by more specific criteria such as work center, planning plant, and others.

View breakdown notifications by filter criteria and map out breakdowns to better understand their cause and generate solutions.

Technical Object Damages

The Technical Object Damages app lets you view damage notifications based on the filter criteria entered. By default, it will break down each of the notifications by the object part code group. You can change the main dimension (property) on the chart as well as stack additional dimensions on the chart to breakdown damages via multiple properties. From the filtered damage notifications, you can view which notifications fall under which chart dimensions, and see some preliminary fields based for the notification. You can also click on the notification number as well to navigate to the notification page for more detail.

Observe damage notifications based on the criteria established in the filters and determine items such as common causes for damages and which technical objects are receiving the most damages.

Resource Scheduling for Maintenance Planners

The resource scheduling app provides important regarding work orders (maintenance orders). This information is laid out with informational cards and includes some of the following details:

  • Breakdown of upcoming orders within the next four weeks based on priority
  • Work center utilization for the current and following weeks
  • The amount of work orders that have at least one operation with an end date set sometime within the last six months
  • The amount of hours a work order lacks a person assigned to it
  • Upcoming and current schedules for work orders

These fields can be filtered by different selection criteria including the planning plant, order type, and priority. Clicking on any of the informational cards leads to another SAP Fiori page with additional information.

Various informative cards display information relevant to the maintenance orders present in your system showcasing but not limited to upcoming maintenance orders, unassigned orders, and upcoming schedules for work orders.
