Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to describe the functionalities of Joule and how it complements SAP's Business AI offerings

Joule

Joule is a generative AI copilot embedded throughout SAP’s cloud enterprise portfolio that delivers proactive and contextualized insights from across SAP’s applications and third-party sources.

Joule will be embedded into SAP applications from HR to finance, supply chain, procurement and customer experience, as well as into SAP Business Technology Platform. It will be pre-trained with SAP business data and business processes.

You will be able to ask questions or frame problems in plain language and Joule will provide intelligent answers drawn from the business data across the SAP portfolio and third-party sources, while retaining context.

Joule provides out-of-the-box integration with SAP backend systems. It is compliant with AI ethics, GDPR, and privacy controls while maintaining SOC-II compliance. Joule gets automatically updated whenever the capabilities are added or changed.

Providing information in real-time through simple natural language questions. Want to get a KPI figure or bring up a quick report? Ask Joule and you will get the result quickly without having to go through all of the manual process of result filtering.
Helping you understand how tasks are performed in the system, essentially a real-time "how to" guide for SAP software. Via the natural-language interface, Joule provides quick and easy access to help content and creates a summary via the large language model. No need to browse through long search result lists anymore and reading into several topics to find the correct information. Not sure which application could help you check the status of sales orders? Just express the need in natural language and Joule will propose the most reasonable applications for the required business operation.
Saving you time by bringing up the relevant business transaction directly. Want to know the status of a specific purchase order? Once Joule shows up the required business information directly in the natural language user panel, you will be able to navigate there directly.
