Creating Charts and Graphs for Reports

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to create Charts and Graphs from a report.

The Create Chart Function

Another valuable reporting feature of the Analytics module is that you can create visuals using report data, by using the Create Chart functionality. Creating Charts allows users to quickly and easily define a visual graphic and an interactive view of their report data. Multiple charts and graphs with various layouts can be created for a report and they can be used to create visually appealing dashboards and summaries, which can even be pinned directly to a users Home Page for quick access.

Being able to see a snapshot of all external workers is important for buyers who use SAP Fieldglass, but it’s also important for them to be proactive about upcoming changes to their external worker population. For example, if the end date for a worker is nearing, buyer or program users may have a need to review and extend their work order.

Create a Chart

Currently, the Program Office at WorkingNet Networking Inc., a manufacturer of data networking equipment, runs a report called "Upcoming Worker Ends" to track the number of Worker assignments that need to be extended. Brian, WorkingNet’s manager of worker procurement, decides it would be easier to see a visual representation of the assignments by month as a chart, so that he can quickly determine which months will have the most contract extensions to plan for.

As WorkingNet’s SAP Fieldglass administrator, it’s your job to create the chart from the report. Here’s how you’ll do it.
