Objective
The Integration Audit Trail allows you to validate that an upload or download processed successfully and to troubleshoot any errors that may have occurred.
Most integration errors are caused by simple, common mistakes: typos, missing data, and improper formatting. The Integration Audit Trail will indicate where within the connector files those errors will occur.
For example, Brian, of WorkingNet’s PMO, tried to upload new user information into SAP Fieldglass, but accidentally uploaded a User Upload template with no user information in it. The server message field of the Integration Audit Trail indicated that the "File has no records."
When he completed the User Upload connector, he tried again, but accidentally left off the last name of one user. The Integration Audit Trail indicated that "Required data is missing for Last Name."
Finally, he tries a third time but somehow deleted the Transaction instruction from the header. The Integration Audit Trail indicated that error as well.
Despite these errors, the Integration Audit Trail helps Brian to complete the upload connector properly so that he can successfully complete the upload.
1 | To view a list of recent uploads and downloads, select Integration Audit Trail from the Integration section of the admin menu. |
2 | The top portion of the details section indicates the transaction ID and some details about the upload/download connector and the integration process. |
3 | To view details about the connector upload/download, select a record from the list. |
4 | The details about the success of the upload/download for the selected record appear at the bottom of the records list. |
5 | Transaction ID (or Z-ID) is the system generated unique identifier for every upload/download attempt and is helpful when troubleshooting. |
6 | Initiator displays the user that triggered the integration. If the integration is automatically triggered the initiator may be populated with Web Services, otherwise will show as UI if data was processed using the Upload Data object via the Admin Menu. |
7 | Server Status indicates the status of the integration process.
|
8 | Server Message indicates whether the integration connector file upload was successful overall, and if not, will indicate what type of error occurred. |
9 | Records processed / Failed indicates the number of records that were successfully processed and how many had errors. |
