Accessing Embedded Analytics and Premium Add-On Functionalities in SAP Fieldglass

In order to access both the Embedded Analytics and the Premium Analytics Add-On functionality in SAP Fieldglass, buyers must first be enrolled with SAP Identity Authentication Services (IAS),which provides robust identity and access management capabilities that enhance the security and usability of SAP Fieldglass and its embedded analytics.

Since both of these enhanced analytics services leverage additional data sources beyond a buyers individual SAP Fieldglass data, IAS is required before it can be enabled for an organization.

As long as a buyer already has IAS enabled for any other SAP product, Embedded Analytics can be enabled at no cost! However, since the Premium Analytics Add-On is an ‘add-on’ subscription-based service, there are additional costs associated.

This lesson explains the purpose of SAP Identity Authentication Services (IAS) as the prerequisite to access SAP Fieldglass Embedded Analytics and the Premium Analytics Add-On.

• SAP Identity Authentication Services (IAS): provides secure identity and access management and is the authentication layer required to access SAP Analytics Cloud–based analytics within SAP Fieldglass.
• Prerequisite rationale: Embedded Analytics and the Premium Analytics Add-On leverage additional data sources beyond a buyer’s tenant data; therefore IAS enrollment is mandatory before enabling these services.
• Pricing: If IAS is already enabled for any SAP product, Embedded Analytics can be activated at no cost; the Premium Analytics Add-On requires a separate, subscription-based purchase.
