Discovering Embedded Analytics

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to describe the Embedded Analytics functionality and what a story is used for.

Introducing Story-Based Analytics within SAP Fieldglass

Currently, the two SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) offerings for SAP Fieldglass are the Embedded Analytics and the Premium Analytics Add-on solutions; both are powerful tools designed to provide data-driven insights directly within the platform. These story-based dashboards are incorporated directly into SAP Fieldglass to enable users to access, visualize, and interact with all different kinds of real-time data using charts, tables, texts, images, and other media.

Stories

A story is like a dashboard. It is used to answer a particular question, or a small set of related questions, using various charts, graphs, tables, and maps. Stories let you explore data interactively to find insights, visualize information with charts and tables, and share, present, and comment on your findings with colleagues.

Embedded Analytics

Embedded Analytics in SAP Fieldglass includes a set of predefined Stories which are designed to capture the most often viewed metrics, and in some cases, can be customized with detailed drill-down capabilities, benchmarking, and market intelligence data.

A screnshot showing the three stories available with Embedded Analytics.
