Using Custom Lookups for Services

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to configure Custom Lookups for services fees.

Custom Lookups

Custom Lookups allow you to upload tables that can be used to drive custom logic for various areas within the SAP Fieldglass application. The different ways in which custom lookup tables can be leveraged in the application include rate changes, complex distribution lists, personally identifiable information, and SOW fees, among others.

Custom lookup functionality can be used to store data for fees, commodity codes, and SOW coordinators. Which module each custom lookup is associated to is dependent on the lookup type that is chosen during initial setup.

Create a Custom Lookup for Fees

WorkingNet needs you to build out logic for assigning fees to an SOW Worker through a Custom Lookup, based on the matrix of data they have provided.

The PMO has provided you, WorkingNet’s SAP Fieldglass administrator, the specifications, so you set out to create the custom lookup.

Custom Lookup Upload

Like the individual entry you just created, it’s possible to manually populate the entire matrix of data required to define the Custom Lookup, however, it’s much easier to load this data with a Custom Lookup Upload like the one seen here. This allows you to manage multiple data elements, keys, and values, all within a single action, versus the tedious manual entry required to manage a larger scope of data.
