When you showcase product recommendations in the SAP Commerce Cloud online store, you can monitor your merchandising initiatives using the reporting support in Intelligent Selling Services. The following video walks you through the important reporting features.
Here are the key features discussed in the video. The following screenshot also illustrates some of these features.
- The overview workspace in Intelligent Selling Services presents important metrics, such as the total number of product views, carousel views, and clicks of all combined merchandising carousels. It also compares this information with the data from the previous day.
- The workspace indicates the connection status of the catalog synchronization between SAP Commerce Cloud and Intelligent Selling Services. It also shows the machine-learning training status. This provides insights into AI-based data analysis for various product recommendations such as related or personalized products.

In the following screenshot, the reporting workspace displays the general performance metrics of a selected business-related data type in a time-series graph. It also presents detailed performance results in a table that includes various key performance indicators (KPIs).

As shown in the following screenshot, you can adjust both the time-series graph and the performance-results table. Configure the following factors:
- Metric Type: You can specify the metric type, such as click-through rate or conversion rate.
- Group by: Select the merchandising effort group related to the data, such as Product Mixes, Strategies, or Carousels.
- Time Frame: Provide a specific time frame, either a predefined period such as last week, last month, last 90 days, or a self-defined period.

The time-series graph displays the system-wide performance metric. To focus on specific merchandising efforts, you can easily customize it. Select the related options (such as a specific carousel or a strategy) in the performance results table.

The performance results table consistently presents KPIs customized for a specific timeframe. This is shown in the following screenshot.

It's important to know that all presented data originates from shop visitors who grant Intelligent Selling Services their consent. This prevents privacy breaches or violations in the data collection process.
Here are explanations of the factors in the performance results table:
- Impressions: The unique number of users who viewed the selected merchandising effort
- Clicks: The unique number of users who clicked on the selected merchandising effort
- Coverage: The proportion of impressions to the overall count of visitors. This indicates the percentage of visitors who viewed the merchandising effort.
- Click-through rate (CTR): The unique number of clicks divided by the number of Impressions. It signifies the percentage of visitors who actively engage with the merchandising effort.
- Orders: The number of unique users who clicked on a merchandising effort and placed an order. It only displays if the metric type is set to conversion rate (refer to the following screenshot).
- Conversion rate (CR): The number of orders divided by the number of impressions. It implies the percentage of visitors who placed an order influenced by the merchandising effort. It displays only if the metric type is set to conversion rate (refer to the following screenshot).
