Planned Orders

The graphic outlines converting planned orders in APO, which is described in the text that follows.

Planned orders are used to plan the in-house production of a material. APO planned orders already contain all production dates.

Orders planned in APO can be transferred to ECC. However, the corresponding ECC planned orders do not contain any operation dates, but basic dates within which production is to take place. They also contain the dependent requirements for both the APO components and non-APO components. On the basis of these dependent requirements, the procurement of these components can then be planned in ECC.

If production planning is to take place in APO-PP/DS, you need to convert the planned orders in APO into production orders. The only difference between an APO production order and an APO planned order is the conversion indicator. If the conversion indicator has been set in APO, a corresponding ECC production order is created in ECC. This order assumes the production dates that have been determined in APO. In addition, as with all ECC production orders, it contains all the functions needed to execute production (printing of order documents, confirmations, and so on).
