A product may be made of different combinations of components, depending on its quantity and the date on which it is to be manufactured. This type of product is often represented by alternative BOMs or alternatives. These alternative BOMs differ slightly from one another, usually in terms of component quantity.
Multiple BOM
Multiple BOMs can be bundled in on group. The definition of a goup is an optional task.
The alternative is selected according to the selection method indicator in the material master record based on the following parameters:
- Lot size
- Date
- Production version
