The product master app provides you with an alternative interface to the material master. Theoretically, you could use the material transaction to create a material master, enhance it using the product master app, and process it again with the material transaction.
On the initial screen, you can search with different parameters of your material. The easiest is the free-form search, where you can enter the search parameter of your choice. Alternatively, you enter key information.
When your search result screen is displayed, you can select one product master to change, use a product master as a template, or create a new product master.
Product Master
In the Product Master (either the new Product Master or the one you would like to change), a new user experience is visible.
First, there are no selection screen for your views. Not even your plant information is required.
Second, you have a new layout. There is a header area, which contains all key and other relevant information.
If, for example, you would like to change plant-specific information, such as the MRP data, you first select the plant screen, which you open for detailed information. When you change or define the MRP data, you can perform a Draft Save. Your data will be checked.
Finally, you perform a final save of your material master.
