Your critical bottleneck work centers are often overloaded. You decide to use the tabular planning table for capacity leveling in a medium-term horizon. You first familiarize yourself with the navigation in the tabular planning table.

The tabular planning table consists of two charts. In the upper chart, the free capacities of the selected work centers are displayed in a period split. The capacity requirements of the selected operations are displayed in the lower chart.
In the tabular planning table, the capacity requirements of operations are dispatched to periods. However, you cannot create a specific sequence for the dispatched operations within a period.

The selection and display of the data and the dispatching functions are controlled by several subprofiles that are grouped together in an overall profile.
Access to the Tabular Planning Table

The tabular planning table can be called up using the transactions listed in the figure. The figure also shows the overall profiles and SET/GET parameters assigned to the transactions.
If you want to flexibly assign your own suitable overall profile when accessing the planning table, choose transaction CM25 Variable View.
If you want to assign user-specific overall profiles to the above transactions, assign these profiles to the corresponding user master records using the SET/GET parameters listed.
Tabular Planning Table: Work Center Views

The work center chart can be displayed in two different views.
In the first view, the free capacities for several selected work centers are displayed by period. The free capacities are calculated as follows: Free capacity = Available work center capacity - Requirements of dispatched operations - Requirements of operations not dispatched.
In a second view, the available work center capacity, the requirements of dispatched operations, and the requirements of operations that have not been dispatched are displayed separately for an individual work center.
Display the Requirements of a Period

The requirements displayed per period can be the sum of the requirements of several operations. You can display the individual requirements for a period. The requirements of dispatched operations are displayed in black, the requirements of operations that have not been dispatched are displayed in blue.
Display the Distribution of Capacity Requirements

The duration of an operation can extend over several periods. A distribution key determines how the total capacity requirement of the operation is distributed over the periods. You can display the capacity distribution of an operation.
Tabular Planning Table: Environment

The figure, Tabular Planning Table: Environment, shows to which objects and overviews you can navigate from the tabular planning table. If you change capacities, operations or orders, or if you create new orders, the changes are immediately taken into account in the planning table.
