Using Further Capacity Evaluation Reports

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to use further capacity evaluation reports

Further Capacity Evaluation Reports

The work center load report allows you to analyze the current capacity situation very flexibly. To be able to evaluate typical and special capacity situations more quickly and effectively, further evaluation reports are available.

The figure shows the four profiles of an overall profile for Capacity Evaluation reports. The profiles are the selection profile, the options profile, the list profile, and the graphic profile. The figure shows also a table where the available Capacity Evaluation reports are listed. These are the load report, the orders report, the pool report, the backlog report, the overload report, and the variable report. For each report, the transaction code, the default overall profile, the SET/GET parameter and the application context are given. The transaction code is CM01 for the load report, CM02 for the orders report, CM03 for the pool report, CM04 for the backlog report, CM05 for the overload report, and CM07 for the variable report. The default overall profile is SAPX911 for the load report, SAPX912 for the orders report, SAPX913 for the pool report, SAPX914 for the backlog report, SAPX915 for the overload report, and there is no default overall profile for the variable report, because it is set manually when running the report. The SET/GET parameter is CY1 for the load report, CY2 for the orders report, CY3 for the pool report, CY4 for the backlog report, CY5 for the overload report, and CY7 for the variable report. The application context is to evaluate capacity loads for the load report, to enter a detailed capacity list for the orders report, to display released production orders for the pool report, to display operations in the backlog for the backlog report, to display overloaded periods for the overload report, and to assign overall profiles on entry for the variable report.

In the work center load report, you can interactively adjust many settings for the display of data. Even the overall profile and the individual subprofiles can be changed during the evaluation. To be able to make suitable settings more quickly and effectively, you can use further evaluation reports. They differ in the assigned standard profiles, which are preconfigured for typical practical requirements.

Pool Report

Display the Pool Report. In the pool report, only released production orders are displayed. This is preset via the assigned selection profile. Furthermore, the detailed capacity list is preset as the standard list via the list profile and the period split Day via the options profile.

Orders Report

Display the Orders Report. For the orders report, the detailed capacity list is preset as the standard list via the list profile and the period split Week via the options profile.

For the orders report, the detailed capacity list is preset as the standard list via the list profile and the period split Week via the options profile.

Overload Report

Display the Overload Report. In the overload report, only periods with a load greater than 100% are displayed. This is preset via a minimum load of 101% in the options profile. The minimum and maximum load can also be adjusted interactively in the evaluation reports.

In the overload report, only periods with a load greater than 100% are displayed. This is preset via a minimum load of 101% in the options profile. The minimum and maximum load can also be adjusted interactively in the evaluation reports.

Operations in the Backlog

The figure shows the operations of orders on the time axis. Some operations are in the past. These are the operations in the Backlog.

Delays in the production process can cause operations in the backlog.

Backlog Report

Display the Backlog Report. In the backlog report, only operations with start dates in the past are displayed. The evaluation period for displaying these operations is yesterday. The capacity requirements of the operations are cumulated to yesterday's date. The figure shows the corresponding settings in the options profile.

Extended Evaluation Reports: Overview

The figure shows a table where the Extended Capacity Evaluation reports are listed. These are the Work Center View, the Individual Capacity View, the Order View, and the following Project Views: WBS Element/Version, Version, and WorkCenter/Version. For each report, the transaction code, the default overall profile, and the SET/GET parameter are given.

In addition to the evaluation reports described above, you can also use the extended evaluation reports listed in the figure.

With the extended evaluation reports, you can also evaluate individual capacities and carry out evaluations within the SAP S/4HANA Project System. Furthermore, you can evaluate SOP requirements and actual capacity requirements.

In contrast to the evaluation reports discussed above, however, in the extended evaluation you do not have the option of interactively changing the profile settings for displaying the data. There is also no variable overview available.

The figure shows the nine profiles of an overall profile for Extended Evaluation Reports. The profiles are the selection profile, the control profile, the time profile, the evaluation profile, the strategy profile, the period profile, the planning table profile, the tabular planning table profile, and the list profile.

The figure, Extended Evaluation Reports: Profiles, shows the profiles for the extended evaluation reports. Compared to the evaluation reports discussed above, the extended evaluation does not allow you to change the profiles interactively during the evaluation.

Display the Work Center View as an example of an extended evaluation report.

As an example of an extended evaluation report, the figure, Extended Evaluation Reports: Work Center View, shows the evaluation of a work center capacity in the standard overview.
