1. Operation Activity POD
You use this POD to support the execution of production orders and queue shop floor controls (SFCs) at specific operation activities in the manufacturing process.
Filter Criteria is the selected operation activity and the respective resource.
Multiple SFCs can be started/ processed via multiple selection at this operation activity. The following video shows how this is done.
2. Workcenter POD
The Workcenter POD queues SFCs or orders in a work center as well as specific operation activities during the manufacturing process. One or more operators work on a complex assembly that remains in a workcenter and has multiple operation activities being worked for a long period of time.
Filter Criteria is the workcenter and the respective resource.
You can see all operations, which need to be executed in order in the selected Workcenter in the Activities view. In the example case, we see the Welding Operation Activity which needs to be executed at the Welding Workcenter .
3. Order POD
You use this app to support the execution of process and production orders that are transferred from integrated ERP systems. The Order POD lists orders released from the Manage Orders app or via API.
The Order POD can be configured to process production as well as process orders.
Filter Criteria is the Workcenter as well as the Planned Start Date Range:
4. Line Monitor POD
You can use the Line Monitor POD to monitor, track, and measure production for orders within a plant. The POD offers insights into production, quality, asset, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) perspectives, each with specific pages for detailed views. The Production, Quality, and OEE perspectives are available for both process orders and production orders, whereas the Asset perspective is only enabled for process orders.
5. Standalone Nonconformance POD
The Standalone Nonconformance POD is used to view or log nonconformances against shop floor control (SFC) numbers. It is applicable in situations where nonconformances need to be logged regardless of the SFC status or location, including when SFCs are being handled by quality engineers or repair technicians or when the inspection step is not part of the operation activity in routing. The plugins available for use in this POD include Standalone Nonconformance POD Selection, NC Data Tree, NC Selection, and Nonconformance Data Entry. Selection Criteria is at least the to be processed SFC.
6. Custom POD
The Custom POD type can be used for any industry that needs a custom POD selection or no POD selection. It supports creation of a custom POD which offers specific features not provided by a core POD type. It is incumbent on the creator of the custom POD to ensure that the POD has the data and configuration needed to work as desired.
