Mobile Wallet Overview

The Mobile Wallet feature in SAP Emarsys enables users to securely store and use digital passes, such as loyalty cards, coupons, and vouchers in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. It supports use cases such as loyalty schemes and voucher discounts, enabling users to dynamically update and access their digital passes directly from their mobile devices.

You can create, test, and evaluate campaigns in the Mobile Wallet channel. Use Email, In-app messages, or Web Channel campaigns to deliver personalized digital passes such as coupons, loyalty cards, and vouchers, enabling users to store and access them in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

Let's check out the video to learn more about Mobile Wallet.

Understanding How Mobile Wallet Works

  • You can create, test, and launch your Mobile Wallet campaign.

  • You can share the Wallet campaign with users through parent channels such as Email, In-app, and Web Channel.

  • Upon receiving a URL, the user clicks on the Wallet link, 'Generates a pass.'

  • A personalized pass is created within the Wallet service, adhering to the design of the Wallet campaign, and sent to users through Google or Apple APIs.

  • Users can download the pass into their Wallet app, making it accessible offline.

  • You can update the Wallet campaign either broadcast-style or individually; the corresponding Wallet passes get updated.

Hint

You can always revert changes made in the draft version to the original launched version, enabling the creation of flexible and continuous content.

Mobile Wallet Reporting Page

After you send out your Wallet campaign, you can track its performance on the Reporting screen.

You can filter by platform to view metrics only iOS or Android users perform.

  • Generated: The recipient clicks the unique Mobile Pass URL, such as 'Add to Google Wallet' or 'Add to Apple Wallet', and previews the pass.

  • Downloaded: The user saves the Mobile Pass to their Mobile Wallet by clicking 'Add' after previewing.

  • Updated: This is the number of times a saved wallet pass has been changed, regardless of mass or individual changes.

  • Removed: The user deliberately deletes the individual Mobile Pass from their Mobile Wallet.
