SAP Emarsys has different types of SMS categories:

  • Transactional SMS Messages: No opt-in is required; they contain static information such as system notifications, password retrievals, essential updates, ignoring opt-out features, and shipping and delivery updates. Set up once; it works automatically.

  • Commercial/Marketing SMS Messages: Must be opt-in, easy opt-out. They are used for offers, deals, helpful tips, and information. An option to create unique short links is available.

  • After creating messages in the SAP Emarsys SMS editor, you can initiate or incorporate batch SMS campaigns into established or new Automation programs. These campaigns can be sent through either SAP Emarsys' provider or the customer's designated provider.
