Tracking the Impact of Omnichannel Marketing Campaigns with Analytics

SAP Emarsys Campaign Analytics Overview

Campaign Analytics is a tool for cross-channel trend reporting. It enables the performance evaluation of campaigns across different channels over time for specific segments. ​

Dimensions for analyzing omnichannel campaigns include: ​

  • Channels: Comparing campaign results based on different channels ​

  • Segments: Filtering campaign results by segments​

  • Metrics: Generating trend reports for each channel

Checking Campaign Analytics in SAP Emarsys​

  1. Select the date range.​

  2. Optionally filter data by the segment on the Campaign Analytics page.​

  3. Click "Apply" after choosing the search parameters.

The report loads with three main views: ​

  • Engagement (Trends)​

  • Engagement Summary​

  • Performance​

The report shows each view per channel, where you can choose a channel for analysis.​

  1. Download the widget data in CSV by clicking "Export Report" in the top right corner.​

  2. Switch channels using the Select Channel selector to view metrics for Email, Mobile In-app, Mobile Inbox, Mobile Push, and SMS channels for the specified period.​

  3. Select multiple metrics simultaneously (available metrics depend on the selected channel).​

  4. Toggle views between total interactions (events) and rates, such as open rate and click rate.​

  5. You can click "Explore on Campaign Level" to see engagement widgets for each channel in a campaign-level view.

The Engagement Summary provides metrics for each channel across the entire period, similar to those in the Engagement view. These show totals for the period rather than a trend line. ​

The Performance metrics are based on the respective channels' attributed revenue and purchase rate. The metrics are consistent across channels for easy comparison.

Note

  • Metrics depend on the chosen channel.​

  • The Performance widget appears when the Revenue Attribution feature is on, and purchase data is available in SAP Emarsys.

Click "Explore on Campaign Level" to view all channel metrics for each selected campaign. You can compare the performance of the selected campaigns on the channel ​widgets.​

  1. Filter the results for specific campaigns by clicking on the selected campaigns to open a selection dialog.​

  2. After selecting specific campaigns to filter results, you can return to the "All Campaigns" selection by refreshing the page or clicking the Apply button. ​

  3. You can change the filters at the top of the page, such as date range or segment, and reset the campaign selection.
