Activity Creation
The creation of activities in an organization requires two prerequisite master data:
- Organizational unit
- Activity hierarchy
These master data provide the necessary foundation for activity creation. For example, the organizational unit defines the structure and hierarchy of the organization, while the activity hierarchy categorizes activities based on their characteristics and relationships. By having these master data in place, users can easily create activities by choosing the appropriate organizational unit and activity hierarchy. This ensures a clear and organized structure for managing activities within the organization.
The activity contains generic data that support data analysis, sorting, selection, and reporting. In the data model, an activity is assigned to a node in the organization hierarchy.
Risks and opportunities can be linked to an activity or directly to an organizational unit.
Note
The assigning roles step is performed at the end of Master data setup.
