<div id="content"><p tabindex="0">Process templates allow you to display a business planning process in SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) for Supply Chain. Planners can create a process template by analyzing source information from sales, marketing, and finance, for example. This information drives the structure of the process template. Before you create a process template and add steps, you must create a User Group. You can then assign each step to the appropriate group. SAP IBP process management enhancement. You can choose whether you want a process step to be started or ended automatically and, if so, under what conditions. For example, you can specify that a step is to start only on the defined start date or when the previous step has been completed or when one or both of these conditions are met. SAP IBP Process Templates On the Fiore Launchpad, choose the app User Groups within the section Administration. On the screen, an overview of the existing user groups will appear. To create a new user group, choose Create. In this example, we create a user group with the ID SOP. On the User Group tab, maintain the name SOP Group. The settings to assign new or additional users to the user group can be found in the tab Users. On this tab, you will get an overview of existing user assignments. Additionally, you can assign or remove users. To add new users, choose Add and populate the requested accounts. In the shown example, TRAINEE01 and TRAINEE02 will be assigned. To save the new user group with the assigned users, choose Create. The newly created user group will be displayed on the left side, and as selected, the user group details will be displayed on the right side. Then, we return to the SAP Fiori Launchpad home page and choose Manage Process Templates in the Administrator group. On the screen, an overview of the existing process template will appear. To create a new process template, choose Create on the upper right side, and the template details screen appears. To create a new process template, multiple key fields like Name, Owner, Time Zone have to be maintained. Optionally, a description could be also assigned. In the shown example, the process template will be called IBP process and the owner will be given to trainee 01. No steps will exist, as a new process template will be created here. In the steps area, further steps could be designated, existing alerts could be removed, or the order of several steps could be adjusted. Choose Create on the upper right to create steps for a process template. On the Create Template Steps screen, a step name and process owner must be selected in the general information area. Demand review is used as a name in the example shown, and Trainee01 is in the field Owners. Optionally, a description for the step could also be assigned. Next, in the Steps Details area, a user group's assignment, the relative start date, and the duration must be selected. Our newly created user group is used for the user group fields in the example shown, with a relative start date of 1 and duration of 7 days. After maintaining the step details, the start and end conditions must now be defined in the Step Settings area. The main settings here are the conditions for the automatic start and end of the step and the start and end time for the day. In the shown example, the condition for an automatic start has been selected on start date and the condition for automatic end has been chosen on end date. For start time and end time in the shown example, 0800 and 1800 are used. At the end of the step creation, individual or group tasks could be created and assigned in Task area. To add new task, choose Create. A new task could be created by assigning a task name, assignees, task priority, and task description. The main review is used as the task name in the example shown and Trainee01 is in the field assignees. Finally, select create and a new task will be displayed in the task area. A process step could have as many tasks as required. To save the step itself, choose apply. On the main screen for the new process template, the newly created step will be shown. A process template could have as many steps as required in the example shown. Another step will be created for the supply review. My review is used as a name in the Create Template Steps screen example, and trainee 01 is in the Field Owners. Optionally, a description for the step could also be assigned. Next, in the Step Details area, our newly created user group is used for the user group field in the example shown, with a relative start date of 8 and a duration of 7 days. After maintaining the step details, the start and end conditions must now be defined in the step settings area. In the shown example, the condition for automatic start has been selected when previous step is completed and the condition for automatic end has been chosen on end date. Due to these selections, new fields appear. The field previous step defines the step to be completed and will start the current step. As an end time in the shown example is 1800 is used again. At the end of the step creation, individual or group tasks could be created and assigned in the task area. To add new task, choose Create. Supply Review is used as a task name in the example shown, and Trainee01 is in the field of signees. Finally, select Create and the new task will be displayed in the task area. To save the step itself, choose Apply. On the main screen for the new process template, both newly created steps will be shown now. Additionally, the process timelines for the process steps will be displayed. To save the process template, choose Save. To create a process out of your newly created process template, on the Process Template screen, choose Create Process in the upper right corner. The process name, start date, and process description can be adjusted in the Create process screen. The default value for the process name is the process template name extended with the current date and time, and the start date is pre-filled with the current date. The default process name has been shortened in this example, and the start date has been changed. Choose Save will create the new process. Your process instance and the scheduled dates should be displayed. Then we'll return to the SAP Fiore LaunchPad homepage and choose the Dashboard Advanced tile in the General Planner group. On the screen, an overview of the existing dashboards will appear. To create a new dashboard, choose New on the upper right side, and a New Dashboard dialog box will appear. In the example shown, the dashboard is named Demo Dashboard with the same description as set as favorite. To save, we'll create the new dashboard. In the empty new dashboard, the previously created process could be assigned. Therefore, choose add, then process management instances, select the IBP process instance with the chevron icon in the list you want to add, and then select add chart. Now, the process created before will be shown in the dashboard. As the status is not started, set the demand review process step status as in progress in the status drop-down list. The relevant task with its owner will be displayed on the right side.
