To import the master data from your SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA (on-premise) to your SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing Solutions, a custom table ARBCIG_FIELDMAP is maintained to map the SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing Solutions’ field values with those of your SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA (on-premise). This is an optional activity, and users should not change any default values in the table.
Maintaining a Field Map for Master Data Export in SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA (on-premise) involves configuring and managing the mapping of additional custom fields, if any, between SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing Solutions and SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA (on-premise). This mapping ensures that data is synchronized and transferred between systems, allowing for accurate and consistent master data management.
If you need to customize master data extracts by adding one more custom field to the standard extract:
Define required custom fields in SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing solutions.
Add required custom fields in SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA (on-premise) by enhancing the corresponding structure with the new SAP fields.
Maintain mappings between custom fields in SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA (on-premise) and custom fields in the SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing solution for Master Data extracts.
When you maintain the required entries in this configuration, the custom table ARBCIG_FIELDMAP will be updated to map the SAP system custom field value with the SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing Solutions custom field value.

The field names in SAP systems are always in uppercase, but in the SAP Ariba Strategic Solutions solutions, they could be in mixed cases. If you wish to use this table in a new SAP system landscape, you must transfer the data using a transport.Hint
