Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to maintain the required filters in the SAP system for the SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing master data integration.

Maintaining Filters

In SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing Solution, filters play a crucial role in helping users narrow down and find the specific information they need. Filters enable users to refine search results, view relevant data, and make informed decisions. However, it is essential to maintain filters regularly to ensure their effectiveness and accuracy. This lesson will guide you through the process of maintaining filters in the SAP system.

Maintaining filters in the SAP system refers to the process of configuring a precise set of values you would like to integrate with a particular SAP Ariba solution for a particular master data object. Filters are used to define specific information to be integrated with the SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing Solution based on your requirements. It is recommended to configure selection criteria to filter master data records to import into the SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing solution.

The Master Data records can be filtered with the following conditions:

  • Equality and Inclusion: Where the Option is EQ and the Sign is I.
  • Ranges and Exclusion: Where the Option is BT and the Sign is E.
  • Patterns and Comparisons: Where the Option is CP and the Sign is I or E.

Follow these steps to maintain the filters for SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing solutions:
