When configuring the integration between SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance and your backend SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA (on-premise) or SAP MDG-S system using the Managed Gateway for Spend & Network, it's essential to keep the following aspects in mind:
- Create an Integration Project: Create an integration project with "Ariba Sourcing" selected as the product in the Basic Information step.
- Establish Connectivity: Establish connectivity with your backend system in the Connections step.
- If You Have a Standalone SAP MDG-S: If you have a separate SAP MDG-S system in your integration landscape and a subscription to SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing, follow these steps:
- Create a Project for Ariba Sourcing: Define a project for the Ariba Sourcing product. When defining the connection, choose the Logical System ID of your SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA (on-premise) system. Select "ANY" in the Document Type. This project will support the integration flows for SAP Ariba Strategic Sourcing.
- Create a Second Project for Ariba Sourcing: Create another project for the Ariba Sourcing product, selecting the Logical System ID of your SAP MDG-S system and "ANY" in the Document Type. This project will be used for the SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance integration.
- Cross-References Section: No action is required in the Cross-References section because SAP Ariba does not provide standard mapping or transformations in the Managed Gateway for Spend & Network for SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance integration with your SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA (on-premise) or SAP MDG-S system.
- Remaining Project Steps: The remaining steps to create the project are similar to those for any other integration project, such as SAP Business Network integration or SAP Ariba Buying and Invoicing integration.
