Maintaining the mapping of SAP Ariba condition types to SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA (on-premise) condition types for Purchase Info Records is a crucial aspect of ensuring smooth data integration and consistency across your procurement processes. This involves configuring the systems to correctly interpret and translate condition types between SAP Ariba and SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA (on-premise), which helps in maintaining accurate pricing, terms, and conditions in Purchase Info Records (PIRs).​

Ariba Condition Types are specific conditions (such as discounts, surcharges, taxes, and freight) defined in SAP Ariba that affect the price or terms of procurement, Similarly, SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA (on-premise) has its own set of Condition Types that affect pricing in Purchase Info Records. You need to identify and list all the relevant condition types used in SAP Ariba that need to be mapped to SAP ERP or SAP S/4HANA (on-premise) condition types, and similarly, list the corresponding condition types maintained in SAP.

Follow these steps to maintain the mapping of the Ariba Condition Types to SAP Condition Types for Purchase Info Records (PIRs):

  1. Using the transaction code SPRO, navigate to Integration with Other SAP Components>Managed Gateway for Spend&Network for Buyer>Master Data Integration>Purchase Info Records.​Image depicting the Purchase Info Records selection.
  2. Expand the Purchase Info Records section and select the IMG-ACTIVITY for Maintain Ariba Condition Types.Image depicting the Maintain Ariba Condition Types selection.
  3. On the Change View "Mapping table for Ariba conditions in SAP": Overview screen, choose New Entries.​Image depicting the New Entries selection.
  4. On the New Entries: Details of Added Entries screen, input values in the flowing fields, as appropriate. For guidance, refer to the table provided in this lesson.​

  5. Select the Next Entry button to maintain another mapping entry.

If you are using version 2008 with support package SP0010 and higher, navigate to the SPRO node, Integration with Other SAP Components>Managed Gateway for Spend&Network for Buyer>Master Data Integration>Purchase Info Records and maintain Ariba Condition Types to perform this task.​

If you are using a version earlier than 2008 with the support package SP0010, you must manually perform this mapping in the ARBCIG_COND_MAP table.​
