Monitoring Messages

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to monitor errors in your SAP system for supplier data integration

Monitoring Messages

Monitoring the SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance integration ensures that data synchronization between SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance and SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, or SAP MDG-S is accurate and seamless. Effective monitoring also ensures process efficiency and compliance and helps identify errors, track data flow, and troubleshoot integration issues.

Leveraging Managed Gateway Transaction Tracker, SAP logs, and monitoring tools can help you proactively identify and resolve integration issues, ensuring smooth supplier lifecycle management.

Integrating SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance with SAP ERP, SAP S/4HANA, or SAP MDG-S can encounter various challenges related to data synchronization, replication, workflow approvals, and communication failures. By proactively monitoring SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance integration logs, ensuring correct configurations, and troubleshooting errors using SAP tools, you can improve supplier lifecycle management and streamline procurement operations.

Common Errors

These are some common errors you may encounter in SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance integration and corresponding troubleshooting tips.

ErrorsTroubleshooting
Supplier master data is not syncing between SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance and SAP systems
  1. Check the Managed Gateway logs in the Transaction Tracker for failed transactions.
  2. Run DRFOUT in the SAP system to trigger data replication manually.
  3. Ensure the Replication Model (DRFIMG) is correctly configured in the SAP system.
  4. Verify that the Supplier BP (Business Partner) is active in the SAP system.
Approval Workflow Delays in SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance
  1. Verify workflow rules and approver assignments.
  2. Check for pending approvals in SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance dashboards.
Business Partner (BP) was not created, or the BP Number Range Issue in the SAP system
  1. Ensure the BP number range in the SAP system matches the one used in SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance.
  2. Verify that the BP Role (e.g., FLVN00, FLVN01) is correctly assigned.
  3. Run transaction BP in the SAP system to check if the supplier exists.
DRF replication failures with messages like "Data replicationi failed" or "No replication model found" in the SAP system
  1. Check DRFOUT logs in the SAP system (transaction DRFLOG).
  2. Ensure the correct Replication Model is assigned in DRFIMG.
  3. Run DRFOUT manually for supplier replication.
Supplier address, contact details, or bank information is missing after synchronization
  1. Ensure that the address fields in SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance are mapped correctly to the SAP system.
  2. Validate that all mandatory fields are filled in before supplier approval in SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance.
Duplicate supplier detected message or multiple supplier records in the SAP system
  1. Enable Duplicate Detection setting in SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance.
  2. Run the transaction BP in the SAP system to check existing supplier records.
  3. Validate that Duplicate Check is enabled in SAP MDG-S.
The "User is not authorized to perform this action" error in SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance or in the SAP System
  1. Assign the correct roles and permissions to the user in the SAP system and SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance.
  2. Ensure users have access to transactions BP, DRFOUT, and MDG workflows.
Web Service Communication Failed, or Data was not received from SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance
  1. Check in the SRT_MONI for SOAP/Web Service failures in the SAP system.
