By scheduling a job for Bill of Materials (BOMs), you can set up an automated, recurring task that exports the latest version of the BOM data from your SAP system and transmits it to the SAP Ariba Product Sourcing solutions. This automation helps ensure that the BOM data is always synced and up-to-date.
The job scheduler is the standard SAP utility. You can configure one or more scheduled jobs according to your requirements based on the frequency of updates for a particular master data object. Ensure that you have configured one or more variants as necessary for the ARBCIG_BOM_REPLICATE program before scheduling the export job. However, you can also run the ARBCIG_BOM_REPLICATE program to import the Bill of Materials manually using the transaction code ARBCIG_BOM_REPL.
The ARBCIG_BOM_REPLICATE program forwards Bill of Materials information from the SAP system to SAP Ariba Product Sourcing Solutions.
To schedule a job for master data export, follow these steps:
- Run transaction code SM36.
- On the Define Background Job page, select Job Wizard to schedule jobs for the ARBCIG_BOM_REPLICATE program.
