Objective
Ad-hoc queries allow you to search for requests that meet specific criteria. They're great when you need a quick list of specific requests. You're able to build queries that search based on approximately 30 different data points on a request.

Ad-hoc queries can't be saved for reuse.
In this example, you need to generate a list of all requests submitted by Rick Steel that are over USD 1,000. You will build an ad-hoc query to generate your data.
Select to search by the user's last name.
Select Employee Last Name in the first Find every request where dropdown.
Enter the search criteria.
Type steel in the first field.
Select to search by the total.
Select Total Approved Amount in the second Find every request where dropdown.
Select the operator.
Select Greater Than in the second operator dropdown.
Enter the search criteria.
Type 1000 in the second field.
Run the query.
Select the Go button.

Depending on your screen resolution, you may need to use the scroll bars to the right of the query area to see the Go button.
The query results are displayed.
