Configuring Locations

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to demonstrate configuring Locations based on CVI's business requirements.

Locations Configuration

While studying CVI's business requirements, you didn't see anything specific about Locations. However, you just overheard that the president of the North American business unit is moving to Girard, Pennsylvania, and you think it would be wise to add it to the list of Locations, just in case.

Working with Locations

Steps

  1. Access Locations

    Select Locations from Request Admin to configure locations.

    Select Locations from the Request Admin tools.

  2. Create a New Location

    To create a new location, select the New button.

    Select the New button.

  3. Add Location Details

    Add Location details by completing the location code, country/region, state, and administrative region fields.
    1. Enter GIPA1 into the Location Code field.
    2. Select UNITED STATES from the Country/Region dropdown.
    3. Select Pennsylvania from the State/Province dropdown.
    4. Select ERIE COUNTY from the Administrative Region dropdown.
    5. Scroll down.
  4. Complete the Location Details

    Complete the Location details by adding the Time Zone Offset and selecting the Create New City Name button.
    1. Enter-300 into the Time Zone Offset field.
    2. Select the Create New City Name button.
  5. Enter the City Name

    Enter the city name and select the Save button.
    1. Type Girard into the City Names For This Location field.
    2. Select the Save button.

Result

The new Location for CVI has been added.
