Creating Requests

Objective

After completing this lesson, you will be able to demonstrate how to create a request.

Request Creation

The following process shows how to manually create a request. In some configurations, requests are created automatically by the system based on bookings in Concur Travel.

Steps

  1. Create the Request

    Select Start a Request to create a request from the New button.

    Select the Create button and then choose Start a Request.

    Note

    Depending on the configuration and user, this option may not appear under the Create button.

  2. Complete the Request Header

    The Create New Request pop-up with related details is displayed.
    1. Complete the fields on the Request Header.
    2. Select Create Request.
  3. Start Adding Expected Expenses

    Select Add button to add the expected expenses in the request.

    Select the Add button.

    Note

    Depending on the configuration, some expenses may be auto-populated based on Concur Travel.

  4. Add an Expense

    Select Air Ticket in Transportation option to add expense type.

    Select an Expense Type.

  5. Fill In the Details

    Select Save on the New Expense: Air Ticket page to save the added details.
    1. Populate the fields.
    2. Select the Save button.

    Note

    In some configurations, travel expenses will be auto-populated based on Concur Travel.

  6. Submit the Request

    Select Submit Request on the Sales Trip Chicago $450.00 page to submit details related to expense type, date, total amount, and amount requested.

    Add the rest of the expected expenses and then select the Submit Request button.

Result

View the status of the submitted request on the Manage Requests page.

The request has been created and submitted for approval. The Request Library shows the current status of your active requests.
